Your race determines your passive abilities in Blox Fruits. This guide covers all 6 races, their abilities, how to unlock V2, V3, and V4, and which race is best for your playstyle.
You are assigned a random race when you start the game. You can change your race using a Race Reroll (costs 100 fragments). Each race has unique passive abilities that get stronger as you unlock higher versions (V1, V2, V3, V4).
Best For: PvP
V1: None
V2: +10% damage below 50% HP
V3 (Full Body Haki): Damage boost + stun immunity (unlocked by defeating 10 players in PvP without dying)
V4: Superhuman – +25% damage + speed boost
Best For: Speed, mobility
V1: +10% jump height
V2: +20% movement speed
V3 (Infinite Stamina): Sprinting no longer drains stamina (unlocked by collecting 100 flowers in 30 minutes)
V4: Flash – teleport dash ability
Best For: Sea events, water combat
V1: +15% swim speed
V2: +25% damage in water
V3 (Water Body): 80% damage reduction while swimming (unlocked by surviving the Frozen Village waterfall for 2 minutes)
V4: King of the Sea – water abilities and damage boost
Best For: Support, team healing
V1: +5% health regeneration
V2: +15% healing to allies
V3 (Wings of Light): Flight + team healing (unlocked by healing 5,000 HP to allies)
V4: Archangel – resurrection ability
Best For: PvP, life steal
V1: +5% life steal
V2: +15% life steal
V3 (Bloodlust): Life steal doubled (unlocked by defeating 20 NPCs at night)
V4: Vampire – 50% life steal
Best For: PvP, speed (unlocked in Third Sea)
V1: +10% movement speed
V2: +20% movement speed + electric AOE
V3: Electric dash – stun enemies (unlocked by completing Mink quest)
V4: Cyborg mode – speed + damage

Reach level 500 and talk to the Awakening NPC in Second Sea. Complete the trial for your race.
Complete the specific trial for your race (see above). All V3 trials require level 1000+.
Complete all V3 trials for all races (you need to switch races and unlock V3 on each one). Then talk to the NPC in Third Sea. V4 is the ultimate ability and is very powerful.
